Bean_fischer: Don't get sassy about more skill. I played you in online chess. You are rated over 1700 and I under 1600. I won, because even though I blundered, you blundered worse. If you are a solid 1700 then either you had a bad game or 1700s are really bad.

Xieff, congrats you won. I have even worse game now. I will lose to 1260, because I blunder my Queen.

Do you know how many online games I have on average? well, now I have 92 games. Do you know how much time I spend per game?

When I open chess.com, there are about 30 games waiting for my moves either 24 hrs, 3, 5, 14 days. I spent maybe less than 15 minutes for those 30 games. I almost play simultan games but not like the real simultan. That's less 30 sec per move.

And what is the standard rating? 2 hours for 40 moves? That's 3 min per move. So I sometime play quicker than standard game. But if you think this is not the reason I blunder. Fine.

I don't mind losing. They could be better. But my rating is 1700. And my avg opponent rating is 1709.

Least but not all, I have 7 1st place finish, and 3 2nd place finish. Out of 79 online tournaments some of them are not finished yet.

So, don't tell me that I lost a game to you, my chess is really bad. I know my skill is bad. I play chess for fun.

I know what it is like to play a lot of games at once. You don't get to spend much time on them because there are just so many. I haven't ever played 90 at once but I have played over 50 and what fun is chess if you only spend around 30 seconds to a minute on each game. Isn't 90 just a few too many games?

Never mind about my rating. I don't care about it, why do you? Have been following it? Play and have fun. Take it easy.

I would say playing less games would be taking it easy.

"I do play USCF. So I know."

Where is the headslap emoticon?

bean_Fischer

Probably right. I intend that. My goal is 1900. Before that wd be lots up and down. Hope to achieve it before X-mas.

Irl I would be so happy to see you try to headslap me. :D I never said it wasn't USCF rules I am only talking about my experience playing and watching USCF games and I had never heard of this before. So USCF doesn't always enforce this rule.

Jebus, how'd you ever even get in such a situation?  When your opponent has scads of material and you have your king:  resign.

Why would I do that if he is going to run out of time? lol

Because you're an honorable human being.

AlxMaster

You can only checkmate the opponent with your pieces, not his. It's your material that counts for being insufficient to deliver mate.

Why should I reward him for using too much time?

AlxMaster: I know that duh. I know whos counts; I am talking about clock time. lol

AlxMaster

If your opponent's clock ends and you have no material to mate (YOUR material, not the opponent's) it's a DRAW.

So it's OK for him to use more time than I do and get a won game, but not for me to flag the guy and get a draw?

I know it's a draw weirdo. Read the whole thread.

ivandh

He still beat you decisively on the board. If you had any mating material left you'd win. But you failed so hard you should be glad to get away with the half-point. Maybe play better chess instead of playing for time.

Challenge me and I will beat you? How about that? I didn't play for time, I played considering both like a good chess player should especially in blitz. The reason I posted is because I thought it was unfair because I had never heard of such a rule. But seriously challenge me I want to see who is better. Then you can settle your mind.

TheRealThreat

This is eye opening for me. I never known that my opponent can received a draw once his time run out, if I don't have sufficient mating material. So what is the use of having time control?

TheRealThreat

I wonder does this rule apply to chess.com turn base games?

Sure buddy, since you are too immature to accept your error even after 100 posts, you want to salvage your ego with a game. You've failed to come up with a coherent rationale for your whining, so in your little head you think playing a game will make up for your deficiencies.

I play chess for enjoyment, for the sake of the game. I don't need to use it as a tool to prove a point. Nor do I think I would enjoy a game against a whiny little kid. You might flip out and start another "cheap shot" thread when I use en passant or some other rule that you happen to be ignorant of. When you've cleaned up your act, and see the game as an enjoyable pastime instead of a tool to inflate your own ego, then feel free to send me a friendly challenge.

I didn't start this thread wrongly. I stated my oppinion and asked for an explanation. Its really cute how you refuse to play. It is because you tell me of how "bad" I play actual chess. So if I beat you that will hurt your ego. Play me to prove that you aren't trying to save your own pride. "CHeap shot" Was only an eye catching title to get people's attention so that I could have a good explanation. (btw I'm not a little kid) Of course you won't enjoy it. Because if you lose you will be in so much pain because you insulted someone's skill in chess when you were worse. That hurts. Self destruction I would say. Play chess bro.

Xieff

You know what?!?!?! I will. I will buy one and read it. Just in case ppl still don't understand: I get the rule now ok everybody? I never said I like it but now I know it thanks everyone. :) Btw I know e.p. guy. Do you know how to castle? Do you know how to move your knights ivan?
