"The number of pawns to white's advantage"
If the evaluation is -0.7 then black is ahead by 0.7 pawn

When a computer analyzes moves and says that a move is -0.7 or whatever the number, what exactly does that number mean? Is there any websites that would explain it to me? I've seen the numbers both in Chessmaster and Fritz.
