Computers and sanity

How reasonable is it when looking at a computer annotation's 5-15 move long diatribe of what is the 'best' move for each side along the way.  Some of those positions, if examined, have a mere 0.1 to 0.2 difference in score.  So, it can be said, sanely, that if a position has like 4 top moves that differ in only 2-3 centipawns then it makes sense to say that for normal human play that the moves are virtually equal.  RIght?  I mean  I have been reading grandmaster annotated games (My God, there is enough to read to where I'd spend 3 lifetimes going over everything) and they don't talk about the way the board looks 25 moves deep.
