I drawed a game versus the chess computer on hard!

In my opinion It did play some unusual opening line, but still quite a good result for me!

Please feel free to post comments or analyses (lines) of the game.

It may have transposed into a Bird's opening which usually starts with f4.

31...Qd2 Be5 Qc6 and you can take the pawn at c2

Indeed that wins a pawn!! thanks!..

I hadn't noticed, probably since I played the game in about 10 minutes.. I had nothing to do, so I decided to play a game against the computer, why not on hard, I would lose anyway//

But I drawed and had changes for the win. Now I do wonder if that rating of 2000 is about right?? I personally can't hardly belief it, since there is virtually no change for me to draw a 2000 rated (even on chess.com) player with so little analysis.

The 2000 rating is definitely off. Check this out: http://www.chess.com/forum/view/game-showcase/piece-sac-hard-2000-comp-dies-in-30.

The rating is not "definitely off" - my understanding is that it changes just like your or my rating.

Very good play! Normaly, i like to play with the Bishops pair, but the idea ...,Bxc3+ and ...,Bxd3 for a good central square e4 (and c4) are interessing!

Well done! You could've played on to win (Qg6 and then g3 seems a nice plan. Ra3 Ra1 Nc3 wins a pawn), since I know the computer isn't really good at end games and I know you are Smile

The computer would be much better off after 9. cxd3, sinds it guards e4 (the hole on e4 is the main reason why you had a winning position). 10. Ba3 would also be very annoying (since you can't castle). But anyway, you punished the computer's mistakes in a very nice way.

Ra3 Ra1 Nc3 does indeed win a pawn.. just like the line juhweri proposed..

It seems I had changes for a win than..

Personally I don't understand either what the idea of the computer was when it decided to take on d3 with the queen, instead of the pawn.. As I mentioned, it might be pointed at an c3-c4 break, but I'm not sure.
