Dropped 192 in rapid, in 6 days. Is this uncommon?

Hi, I've only recently taken chess up as a consistent hobby for about 3-4 months. and I got to 737 elo 6 days ago, and today I'm at 545. I don't really care about the rating, but it's a good measuring tool, and obviously, I feel I've gotten worse at the game overnight. I've never played a sport or game that I'm super streaky like this. Is this just how it goes? Tips and tricks are welcome.

Yes. Everyone goes through ups and downs.

Have you gone through the games to see if there is something you might be doing differently?

I've been trying the Alekhine and Kings Indian on black, just learned those.

It's great to try new openings. However, they can hurt your short term performance.

When you learn new things till you learn the opening elo goes down most of the time lol actually I lost to a 800 while learning the scandi(I was around 2000 ish I think) though once you figure out how to win more with the opening usually your elo goes back to normal or goes up

This is usually caused when we learn new patterns in chess. So its normal

Me to, when i learn i think the sicilian alapin trap, i lost about 156 elo, from 764, its just a common thing from learning, you’l get better the more you practice, or so they say ”practice makes perfect”
