Hi All,

Thanks for taking a look at my game, most of it is terrible but focusing on moves 8 to 17 I play two brilliant moves and three great moves but the eval bar drops from 0 to -2.0. I think the engine wants to force a draw at move 16 by perpetual check. Is the position that bad after recapturing the queen on move 17 that a draw would have been a better option. How would you have played it?

++ Yes, black is a queen up, so a perpetual check is the best white has.

In your actual game, White remains three pawns down after capturing the opposing queen. Though Black's position isn't the nicest with many of the pieces still "preparing themselves at home", White does not have a concrete attack and Black's pieces will start developing.
