you may have had a slight advantage because of the knight in that position.  you could have worked it out of the corner and possibly found some play.  but your position was pretty cramped, so i would be happy with the draw.  i would spend more time thinking about how to avoid that position than what you could do with it.  but, then again, i am not very good either.

Yeah, definitely avoiding the cramped situation is good.  However you could have broken out of it.  I like something like 7. Nh4 (g5? 8. Nf5 and if Nxf5 your g2 bishop will do damage), intending f4 with a major pawn break, and then you can take advantage of Black's slow development, possibly with mating threats (fxe5 followed by Qf3 and/or taking on h6 to double the h-pawns).

When you get cramped like that, a key pawn break will do Black in; especially in this case.
