Help seeing what a drawn position

Hello, all. I am pretty new to playing, and I am having trouble spotting positions such as this which lose me the game. As you can see, I pushed a4 here, and I went from being a huge favorite to being drawn. The engine suggests Bc5+, which is fine, but why does pushing the pawn lead to a draw?
