How are accuracy game rating connected?

I have frequently been receiving 1600 for individual game ratings of late and can’t seem to get above it. I hit a 94% in my last game and thought I would finally break 1600 but still didn’t. I have hit 1600 with accuracy in the mid to high 80%’s as well. How are they connected and how can I start to get higher single game ratings?

This video on game accuracy (CAPS) might help clarify a few things, but this statistic is misunderstood by many. I wouldn't pay too close attention to the game "accuracy" other than a quick interpretation of how you played in the game for your level:
