How do I annotate a game and send on to someone?

Hi,

I tried to annotate a colleagues game. I clicked on his game, I clicked analysis, then I right clicked the moves and entered my comments. I hit "save" and then sent him the URL, when he clicks on the URL, he sees no annotation.
When I click on the URL, I see all of my comments. Even if I close everything down and simply click the URL, it takes me back to the game with my annotated comments, but he doesnt see them.

Can someone walk me through (idiots guide) to doing this correctly so that I can send someone an annotated game and they can read the comments I've made? Can this be done? Or can you only save/review comments when you post a game directly to a forum?

Thanks!

Kraig

This was the link if it helps: https://www.chess.com/analysis/game/live/4551032350
I still see the annotated comments, but he cant.

Does he need to be a premium member?

Do you know how I do save games WITH annotated comments? Is it not the steps I wrote?

Thank you!

st0ckfish

yes, the pgn carries the annotations.

Question: Can you see my annotations for this "game"

Yes I can, "all the best". I must be doing something different. Also the URL i pasted is chess.com/analysis/live, etc - where is yours is a condensed link. Must be different to what I am doing.
Can you explain your steps please for me? Thank you very much!

st0ckfish

yes, go to the analysis board, type analysis, press "save", then copy and paste the url

I think thats my problem. I was copy and pasting the original analysis URL after I hit save. I didnt click the "share" icon which gives a different link. I assumed they were the same.

Do you see my "TEST" comments on your game? (I annotated over it as a test). Thank you!
