How to convert this position?

The evaluation bar has black as significantly better but I can't seem to understand why. Looking for some insights like what is bad about white's position and what's good about black's position.

So the idea is that white has created themselves a weakness on c3. in the long run black will pressure that c file with rooks and white seems to be just behind in terms of moves since bailing out that weak pawn is going to be hard and will come at the expense of whites development. Try to look it at it in the following way---> say that pawn on c3 can't move untill the end of the game, and both white and black reached a perfect position where both castled their kings and have all their pieces out. Black wnats to munch on that pawn so he can align his rooks in that file, he has a black bishop that suits this threat perfectly

A queen and so on... white is down a piece and space to help it, it would take him longer to align his pieces in a way that would defend that pawn

Let me just correct myself... not down a piece but rather space. Now you might think that anytime during the game you'll be able to push that pawn forward and somehow get out of it but black Pd5 is there to stop you. Once again in my eyes the space disadvantage on that c file for wgi

Damn typing here is tough.... so let me complete.... the space disadvantage on that c file and the fact that the pawn there is stuck is exact why in the long term white is going to lose it 100% with good execution.. white is just not in time to help it

This is a great position, but it's not going to win itself, at last below master level. As you can see, you have a great center and a lead in development, but there is nothing approaching a forced win. I've let advantages like this slip away many times! I think you want to attack and push your center forward. h6 followed by e4 or Bb7 followed by d4 both look promising

I don't know how White managed to get this mess, but so far he has done everything wrong. He is behind in development, he has surrendered the center to the opponent, and on top of that he created some serious queenside liabilities with his last move.

Black has many good moves, but after the natural ...d4 (simply opening the position and targeting the queenside holes) I don't expect the game to last long.

Insights:

Black has a good position: his King is safe, nearly all his pieces are developed and he had 2 advanced centre pawns.

White has none of these things: his King is exposed, with his last move he has opened (well, nearly) the a1-h8 diagonal for the Black bishop, and with his Knight still on b1, his Rook currenly has no way to flee from that Bishop. Plus, White has no way to stop the Black pawns from advancing further.

So pushing the pawns, starting, as pfren says, with the d-pawn, seems like a good idea.

What you could do, is play this position against the computer a few times.

Black position is good because of 2 center pawn.
