How to have advantages from the opponent mistakes??
#2. Thanks for that. I think we get to 11. 0-0-0 as the point to look at the game.
Clearly not 11. ... Qf6
( you wanted a piece on d4 forgetting that a knight on c3 with tempo on d5 is at c7 )
If black castles ... 0-0 white's plan would be Ng5,e5,Qh7#
would *like* to play ... Nb4 as black but white right now has 12. Qb5+
would *like* to move the queen but both e7 and d7 have to face 12. Nd5
At the moment 11. ... a6 comes to mind.
Will look properly tomorrow.
11. 0-0-0
11. ... 0-0 ; a3 h6 ; Nd5
There is a great joke on the St Louis videos:
You can spot GM games because they push the wing pawns one square.
The point of ... h6 is to play ... Ne7 and kick the white knight
The black queen is stopping Ng5 but does not on ... Ne7
White's subsequent Qb5+ provides the hindsight of study to castle on move 11.
Back to the game
13. ... Qf6 ;
14. Nd5 Qh6+ (maybe)
18. a3
There is ... Nxc2 or ... Nd5 ; Qxc6 Nb6 but white has Ne5
brewing as a threat especially if the white queen is on c7.
So I admire the game choice of 18. ... Na2
21. ... Kg7 ?? ... BxN
22. Ka2 ?? Oh dear - Ne6+ wins the exchange.
22. ... Rdb8 - relief no doubt as 23. Ne6+ no longer works.
23. Qa6 - Qxc6 I would have thought.
23. ... Qxf2 ( ... Rb6; Qc4 Rhb8 ; chop wood then pawn eat )
24. Rf1 ? ( Re2 )
25. Qd3 Rb6 Black is back winning from bust on 21.
28. RxQ ?! Take with the pawn, the bishop is trapped.
29. ... Rb8-b7 - what about f7-f5
"Did i missed any early mate in this game??"
Not that I can see.
#6. That game warmed up for sure after white moved the knight from h3. It had a lot of nice little tactical considerations. It is difficult to decide what detail should be supplied. The Rd8 suggestion perhaps should have showed that Qg4 was not quite enough due to ... Rd6 and then Bb4 does not cut it due to the pawn. Of course ... QxBc3 ?? ; QxR+
A very common event in many chess games is a blunder is often replied to with a blunder.
I just simplify the game every opportunity i had and then i win the rook endgame with two pawns advantage.
1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 exd4 4.Nxd4 Bc5 i play Black by the way :)
5.Nf3 I don't know so much about the scotch opening but i think he make a mistake by retreating his knight
5. .... Nf6 planing for Ng4
6.Nc3 Ng4 7.Be3 Nxe3 8.Qd3 the second mistake
8. ..... Nxf1 9.Rxf1 d6 10.h3 Be6 11.0-0-0 Qf6 12.Nd5 i think this mistake also cause trade pieces for my benefit
12. .... Bxd5 13.exd5 Nb4 I don't know if it is the best here i thought about Ne7 attacking the d5 pawn but it is protect well and I thought to retreat my knight for the original square Nb8 then Nd7 to block his queen check Qb5+ and try to open my b-file if he took my pawn then i go back to the first idea Nb4 be aggressive cause i had a material advantage it will be also lead to open my b-file and i will sacrifice the knight to destroy his fortress
14.Qb5+ c6 15.dxc6 bxc6 16.Rfe1+ Kf8 17.Qb7 Rd8 18.a3 Na2+ 19.Kb1 Nc3+ 20.bxc3 g6 21.Nd4 Kg7 22.Ka2 Rb8 23.Qa6 Qxf2 threaten to take his knight then Qxc2+
24.Rf1 Qxg2 25.Qd3 Rb6 26.Rd2 Qd5+ 27.Nb3 Qxd3 28.Rxd3 Rhb8 29.Rdf3 R8b7 30.h4 h5 31.a4 Re7 32.Rd3 Re4 33.Nxc5 dxc5 34.Rd7 Rxa4#
Did i missed any early mate in this game??
Thanks for help :)
