insightful and informative. i have a friend , who just loves pilling up the pawns (and the mistakes i see most of my friends do, sometimes myself included, is allow it), and then he stratigically positions he's minor pieces behind them, then he starts marching them into the opponents territory, with little of no conflict. what i learned here is to attack the pawns early before it becomes a big issue, and another thing i learned is to develop my rooks, in response to crazy pawn pushes. and dont forget to break through in the center in responce to flank pawn attacks. very helpful thanks

For me, the best way to play againts this type of player is to block his pawn with your own pawns in the center and continue developing your minor pieces actively but don't allow him to gain more space advantage exchange pawns whenever you can, this will open up ranks and files while he is not developing any pieces should be on your advantage the weaknesses on his position will show due to his pawn moves which you can exploit later.
