How well did I play this game?

You clearly had a plan of attack, which is a good thing. It's important to play all of your moves with a purpose, and that's what you did. I do have a few specific suggestions regarding some of your moves.
Notice that by move 7, you are down a pawn. The move that led to the loss was 4. ... d5, which is probably not as good as getting the dark square bishop out, and then playing d6. It's possible that someone who is better at openings could point out a line where you play d5 and don't lose then pawn, but the option that I suggested is much more straightforward and easy to grasp for beginners.
After 9. ... Ne4 your knight is pinned, and your opponent could have won it with d3 or f3 on the next move.
With 18. ... Re5 you managed to get rid of the knight protecting the h2 square; however, with correct play, your opponent could have prevented checkmate on move 20 with a simple Nf3. In that case, you would have sacrificed an exchange for nothing.
Overall though, this is a very entertaining game that shows that you're thinking. Keep up the good work!
