I defeated an opponent with a 2050 rating. What did I not do wrong?

When I begun the game my rating was 1584. My opponent's rating 2050. Given the obvious rating difference, I played the game assuming I'd lose. Imagine my surprise when I won the game. Inasmuch as I enjoyed my triumph, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that I suppose that my oppon

Your opponent was a weak player. Could have been his second game, he started at 1800 and played another starter and won. His rating looks like 1400. You made a lot of mistakes, like playing Bc4 and like not recapturing when he took your Ne3. However, your oppponent showed that he was the weaker player by playing Nc6, blocking his c pawn, which goes to c6, and probably by not playing e5 when you didn't play d4. Was it bullet or something?
