5.2.1 The game is drawn when the player to move has no legal move and his/her king is not in check. The game is said to end in ‘stalemate’. This immediately ends the game, provided that the move producing the stalemate position was in accordance with Article 3 and Articles 4.2 – 4.7.
I don't understand how this game ended in a draw?
tygxc Thanks for the response I'll be on the lookout next time.
Duckfest, thanks for discouraging new players. You seem like a gatekeeping douche.

Whenever I respond to beginner questions, usually in the beginners section of the forum, I'm almost always supportive, putting in serious effort analyzing a player's games. I do that because I want to encourage players that are willing to improve.
You don't appear to be motivated to learn at all. When you draw a game by stalemate, Chess.com simply tells you it was a draw by stalemate. Why not look it up? Any sort of effort would have gotten you the information you needed. Alternative typing "chess draw", "unexpected draw", "chess why draw?" or any combination of related keywords would have taken you to the answer in under 30 seconds. Not figuratively, literally 30 seconds. Probably even less.
Only in cases like this where a player is making absolutely no effort at all, and simply expects the community to do the work for them, that's when I will not make an effort to encourage them.
You may call that gatekeeping, that's fine. But I’m not the douche here, dumb dumb stupid head.
@Duckfest Sure, he could have just searched it up, but you didn't have to go out of your way to call him dumb.
@KavinJarsa I appreciate that. Literally just play chess to unwind after a stressful day. Could've looked it up but I figured the forum existed for a reason.
@Duckfest, go tell people how they need to drink a beer to enjoy it papi.
Hey guys, kindof new to chess but not understanding how this game ended in a draw? I had ample time and a ton of my pieces left. There's something I'm not understanding.
