I like my Scotch with ...Nf6 please!

Here is a game I played with the Scotch.  Take note - I am still trying to learn 1. e4 e5, so this is all new to me.  I may have missed some theoretical lines.

Normally I play after Nxd4, Bc5 seeing Bxc6 bxc6 (I know, Qf6 is mainline...but I didn't want to play the mainline).  But today, we see ...Nf6...let's see how it went!  Make sure to take a good look at the last position on the board...it is cool.  Plus the moves leading up to it.  I was surprised by the ending myself.  Often my moves surprise me!  :-)

Nice game BirdBrain and a cool trap of the queen. Make sure is well stir.

The thing is, I don't drink anymore...so I'll call it a root beer float!  With lots of ice cream!  :-)  Man, chess makes me hungry!

Nice game birdbrain. Just want to point out that 8...Ba6 would give you a good advantage did you notice?

Lol ive been playing chess a lot for a 20 yr old but its been ages that I havent played 1.e4 e5! neither as white or black. Good luck on your learning and nice game btw

This was the first time that I have seen the ...Ba6. As a matter of fact, this was the first time I have ever played these positions, with ...Nf6.  I will have to look into it. Thanks for the idea!
