I should've won this game, should I think about quitting chess?

Simple question, yes or no. Don't need to repeat it's a stupid blunder, don't need to say I should've saved the Queen, I know. Just answer the title question with a yes or no and stop there.

Asking someone if you should quit chess after 13 days and 11 games of speed chess, is like asking someone what vegetable they should eat.

What about 15 years? Also, please keep it to a yes or no answer, that would be greatly appreciated.

Yes.

But not because you made a mistake and lost the queen.

of course not. everyone has bad games sometimes, that's just a part of improvement.

I'm taking that as it's because of the blunder, so thanks for actually reading the question.

It's your choice. But no, that's not the reason.

It's a very simple question. If you saw that would you think "wow, that guy sucks, he'll never be good at this game" yes or no?

if i only saw the game, i wouldn't think that, but because i am now seeing the whole forum, yes

But again, why are you asking this question over 1 game? Do you realize how silly your question sounds?

I don't want to spend time doing something I'm bad at. Just want to know if I'm bad enough at chess where I should consider using my time on something else.

Think of a little chess break. The other thought is. There are so many chess players walking around here who are actually better than 1200 Elo. Another tip, think a little longer.

Sometimes it also happens that one is too sure of victory.

Exactly, then why bother asking the question to us when you can answer it yourself?

Feels more impartial coming from someone else/multiple people.

you can definitely improve way above your current rating. but if you continue to have this attitude every time you have a bad game then it'll be much much harder

No. I throw all the time and guess what? I have a ton of fun along with the sadness doing it.

Don't quit. It will get you NOWHERE.

This is a very easy question to answer. If you can't stand losing, quit chess! At every level, from beginner to world champion, players blunder and turn victory into defeat. The good players shake it off and redouble their determination. If one little blunder is too much for you to bear, find another game

It seems as if you don't care much about chess if you would ask this after 1 bad game.
