Insane Mating Attack!
I think the thing of beauty here is the subtle king move. I wouldn't call the combination "instane" ... nice post :D
3...g4! maybe? Point being that Rh1 can be met with Bh4 and if Rxh4, Qxh4, gxh4, Black can get the queen back with Rf8. I'm likely missing something though
Edit: I see you have it covered in your analysis but it seems to me that after 3..g4 4. Ne3 Rf8 5. Rh1+ Bh4 Black escapes after some dicey moments. 6. Nf5+ Kg5 7. gxh4+ Kf4 and the discovered check is useless due to the Rook on f8. But again...I'm probably missing something obvious
Very nice mating attack, although it can be stopped by 1. ... Kf8 (according to computer analysis, but if you have something different to say, go ahead).
padman, Qf8 DOES actually stop the mating attack. So clearly, Kf2 was an innacuracy. And Chessgod as noted in the original analysis, 1. ...Kf8 does stop checkmate, but White wins a pawn for nothing, and then follows Rg6!.
