In the following game white has a tremendous material advantage yet loses. I would like to know where my opponent went wrong and any other comments are welcome. I play black.

41. Kf1?? It looks like white should still win with 41. Kg2 since white gets the queen for a rook.

White allowed too much counterplay starting at move 24. The simple 24. Kh1 intending Rg1 limits counterplay.

Although I commend you for attacking with everything you have, it seems like at least one of your sacrifices was unsound, and if White had stopped being greedy and took time to recognize your attacking chances, you wouldn't have been able to carry through with an attack. White's 24th move, for example, was entirely unnecessary. He had an extra minor piece and rook, why take the poisoned pawn? He shoulda started protecting his king. And pushing his pawn to h4 was certainly weakend his position, especially since you were too smart to fall for giving up your queen. That gave you the chance to open up lines to his king once you eliminated the cheap threat. His 26th move to b4 does absolutely nothing as far as I can see. Threats are looming around his king, and yet he pushes a pawn for no reason? After that you played very nicely and he had nothing left.

Guys thank you very much for the comments, I see you are all remarking Kf1 but that was his move and once he realized the mistake he decided to forfeit. Keep in mind this was a rapid rated game (15 min. 0 increments) and time was also a factor at that stage of the game. Again Thanks for the comments. Smile
