Is the computer cheating??

Trying to figure out why they wouldn't let me use my pawn to capture my opponents (the computers) knight. It was a diagonal move. In fact it wouldn't let me move the pawn at all. Anyone know why?

Hmm.. i'm not sure that was the issue b/c it would allow me to move my other pieces but not that particular one. If it happens again I will screen shot to show the board. Thanks for repying!

It could be a temporary pin.

Probably it was pinned - capturing the piece would be an illegal move because by moving a pinned piece your king would be in check.

nichellenicole9  said that she couldn't move the pawn at all, but in your diagram, white can still push d5. It probably was a glitch or bug
