Isolated pawn vs rooks endgame help!

This was a game I played with a friend here on chess.com. I really enjoyed it because it was the first time I felt Chess Mentor had helped me. Without its advice I would surely have lost such a hard struggle. Anyways I would really love comments on how to improve because I felt I had a really nice position but towards the end it sort of dissolved. Thanks! :)

I'm not so sure the endgame was won for me.  Your king was in a bad spot, but your material advantage would have been tough to overcome.

Maybe I missed something.  Why not 42. ...Re1+  43. Kg2  h1=Q+  44. Kf2  Qg1#

Please explain (or did they just miss this)

 Because if 42...Re1 then not 43. Kg2?? but 43.Kxh2!

42...Re1+ leads to 43.Kxh2

Here's an update I found: Seems I missed a crusher at move 23. I must've been so happy to finally make use of my chess mentor training in strategy that I failed to notice: 23 e6! Surely that would've won me the game easily, no?

with 34.c5 you've got your bishop almost immobilized. Better, as you wrote, move the king and after call the knight to battlefield. Thks for this nice game.

The real missed move here is 16. Bh6, threatening mate in one, attacking the queen, and defending from mate in one move.  I didn't believe it when I saw this (I usually miss that kind of thing), but fritz confirms it.

39.  Nf5+ followed by 40. Nh4 and 41. Kxh2 jumped to my mind. Black might be able to get your a2 pawn in this line.
