Live Chess database info while watching someone else's match

How does Levy get the database info for a current position in a live game?  For instance, when watching a game in Live Chess from the current Magnus Invitational, I click the Explorer toggle and it always says "there are no games in the database for the current position" but Levy and Anna seem to get database info without manually putting a position into chessbase or similar software.  I guess this is a feature of chess.com but I can't figure out how to do it.

Most professional chess players use separate database tools from Chessbase.

Not for this.  They are getting the database info live during the match after each move.  They are not manually inputting positions into chessbase.
