Morphy the Terrible

Okay, found it.... just a casual game.
Looked pretty good for a casual game. He was probably enjoying himself, trying to set up a pretty finish.
It makes no difference whether it's casual or not. In fact, as a casual game it should be of better quality.

You write nonsense like this because you believe it?

It just so happens that I have been going over some of Morphy's games with a computer and the computer gives Morphy's moves a top rating.
How is he lightyears ahead when his attacking moves always lead to equality? He lived in an era of terrible players. Had he played Steinitz, he would have had his butt handed to him.
He almost always won. That is how he was lightyears ahead of his competition. He lived in an era of terrible players and was able to rise far above all of the knowledge available at his time.
If Steinitz played Carlsen he would have his butt handed to him as well. Every generation of chess players are better than the last.
