I think I might have exchanged Bishops after the windmill instead of posing an easily refuted threat against his rook.
Not sure what 36... Bc4 did for you, other than to allow the pawn fork and prevent you from playing c4 to get your out-of-position rook back into play. Rxe5 was probably better here.
I'd say you were quite lucky that your oppoenent repeatedly fell for the same tactic that made up the windmill: discovered check with an attack on another peice.
