Very, very nice in my opinion. You created an advantage on the Qside and stuck with it. The N sac was very interesting and you handled the space and pawns well.
New to the French

Thanks . . .
Based on the closed nature of the the Advance variation I wonder a lot about development vs pressing the pawns along the queenside when the opportunity exists. I don't have a very good sense of "positional play" and while I recognize the importance of development, I'm often drawn to playing/pressing with the pawns. I hope to play, read, and study enough to get a better a sense of the "correct way to play", but for now I'm just kind of "going with my gut.
Anybody else?
Thanks,
Ted
While I'm sure I made TONS mistakes in this game, I am starting to feel a bit more comfortable playing the French, especially the Advance variation. I'd love to hear from any of you guys who play the French regarding the knight sac on my move #13 to clear out 2 of his queenside pawns . . .
