Well, I'm no expert, but not posting a position or game along with your comment would be a good place to start looking for errors.

I saw a nice fork to move 9.

It would be 9...e5, and your knight protects the pawn.

People. The pawn on e6, at move 26, zoomed down to e1, took the queen, and promoted to a queen. What on earth glitched that?

maybe thats how i lost?

I do not see why you didn't take his knight after 14...Nxe3 with 15.fxe3

That would both remove the agressor piece and protect your f4 knight, who is en prise.

Instead of 15.fxe3 you made moves with your queen, that was protecting the b pawn. Black took it after that too.

When there is some tension in the center it is usually a big mistake to take a central knight and place it on the sides.

I found that fork because my instincts says blacks 8th move was a mistake (due to what I said above).

Believing in the mistake I carefully anilyzed what squares were deffended by the knight that he moved, leting unproctected. The square was e5 and the knight was the only piece avoiding the fork.

That is how you can find good moves in openings.

The anotations say Bxe1, a more reasonable winning move.

There is propbably something wrong with the diagram.

The theme that stands out to me is hanging pieces.

A few things to consider...
9. b3?  Maybe Ba2 is better here, keeping the B rather than blocking it in.  He didn't play NxB anyways, but I personally would have preferred 9. Ba2 here.

13. Nf4 just loses your B on b5, but again Black didn't take it.  Even so, you need to check that you have nothing hanging before moving other pieces.

15. Qe2??  Why not fxe3 here killing the N?   Qe2 just lets black win an exchange with NxR, AND eventually the pawn on b3 that your Q was guarding before you moved it to e2.

18 Bxd7??  Once again, left a piece hanging, the Nf4 was unprotected.

This seems to be a trend, at least in this game.  I'd suggest checking over the board before each move, just to make sure you are not hanging a piece somewhere.  Hanging pieces over and over will surely cost you games.

I don't know what happened in the game but the PGN file stored for with the diagram is corrupted.

The last couple of moves are shown as "22.Qxe1B xe1" which I assume should be "22.Qxe1 Bxe1".

That's why the diagram does the wierd pawn move at the end.
