I think a message that says "you played poorly" would "trigger" other people who would write forum posts about how it's annoying and then asking us what we think.

I have to admit it's pretty triggering to recieve the phrase "Your opponent played well" in the analysis of a game you just ended.
What I dislike about it is that it implies that there is nothing you could've done to win, which is nonsense. Especially when you're used to have a higher rating and you have gone into a slump and play way below par. You even notice that you make mistakes you normally don't do. And still according to the analysis it's not you playing bad, it's the opponent playing well.

I think you would fit right in living in The People Republic of California.

California would like the chess.com phrase with more ethereal wording....you'll have to take my word for it. You are entilted and special and played good and everyone gets a participation award. On the hand, what should the phrase be? You played like a bag of <umm....garbage?>..... then hope you like death threats. I dont know why there is even a phrase. For all I know it gets translated by google into 'may you fry in hell' and goes viral.
Well as I said it's not a constructive critisism or analysis. I think the point of playing chess is to try and improve. The other analysis are fine I think.
I wouldn't expect phrases like "you suck" but maybe commenting on how many blunders or mistakes you've made and how you've managed the time things like that.
There certainly are better explanations for a defeat than "your opponent played well", especially at the level that most guys on here are at including me. We can always improve on things that's my point.
