1000,would play this game against him!So,can you check this game? And see if the exchange French is still that boring.

I think u have player very good mb he have underesimated you and played a bit defansive game.

You can learn a lot from his opening moves, he thinks that u will castle king side and he is putting all of his pieces in good position for attack on your king side Bd6 , Ne7 so that peon is free to move forward , Bg4 ... rly solid way of playing.

You did same ok exchanges vs a better oponent taking from him pieces that can treten your king.

Other than that blander, u have played solid , not rly a game that was too useful for u in my opinion

I don't understand the final position: don't you win his bishop with Qxf4 --? Then he'll pick up some pawns but I think you're quite a bit better. Actually on second look, I think you're just plain winning.

Yeah, what's the deal?  Did he maybe actually play 23... g5? (which still doesn't look real good either).

And if the guy's your teacher, can't you ask him about the game?
