I'm not positive i'm sold on 7.e5
However; after 6.f4...Nc6
I think white has the 2 bishops in an open position and some extra space
IMO white is better
instead of 7.e5 maybe Bd3,Nc3,and 0-0
Ya I agree that after blacks d-pawn is isolated white will have a small advantage after say
7.e5...Nge7 8.Bc4...d5 9.exd6..Qxd6
I just prefer 7.Bd3,Nc3,0-0 etc because there are more pieces on the board to try and increase the advantage instead of a simplified engame with a tiny plus.
Just my preference whites better either way.
