heister. thanks for doing this thread, also thanks for analysing the game, it honestly felt really good to do that well against a guy rated that high, but looking at the game he certaintly didn't play at 2000 level
Post your game for expert analysis

@jetfighter - I can't wait for the day that you smash a 2075 rated player that is having a good day, and not one that is having a bad day. :D.

@ saluang - yeah.. I'm not planning to spend 20-30 minutes thinking about a game that you spent 1 minute playing.

Thx.

@ Shadow_bishop - the only time I would consider looking at a 15 10 game is if your game went 90 moves and made the 30 0 time constraint. Then I might groan a little as I did it because it would be a 90+ move long game of sub-par blitz moves. I'd prefer to look at correspondence games or 2h in 40 games since those typically have the best ideas in them and represent your best brand of chess.

@ koravi - I started to analyze your game, but it looks like suspiciously like a blitz game. What were the time controls?

Hello heister!! Glad you are back!! Here is a game from my 30 5 preparation for U16 GRE championship on another online chess server(FICS) :
(Ratings are FICS ratings, my OTB is 1610 FIDE)
I played Rxd5+ because i saw I was easily winning the pawn endgame (was i?)

I wrote you back a note @seriousaboutchess. I skipped your game until you write some of your own thoughts on it and re-submit it. I occasionally ask players to do things that I think would help them improve before I take a look.
And if it turns out that you used computer assistance on a move like say.. move 21... then I'm torturing you to make something up.
Cheers.

Hello Everyone this game is one of my better games from the Cardinal Open 2014 in Columbus, Ohio. My Name is Andrew Thomas rated 1811.

1. Nf3 Nf6 2. g3 d6 3. d4 g6 4. c4 Bg7 5. Bg2 O-O 6. O-O a6 7. Nc3 Nc6 (Here I want to play the Panno Variation of the Fiachetto Kings Indian Defense) 8. e4 (This move came as a bit of a surprise to me as I am accustomed to seeing 8. d5 in which I would have responded with Na5 putting immediate pressure on c4.)
Bg4 9. h3 Bxf3 10. Bxf3 e5 11. d5 Nd4! 12. Be3 Re8! (The point of this move is that if now my opponent captures on d4 twice, I have an nice resource in Nxe4!) 13. Bg2 c5 14. dxc6 bxc6 15.
Qd2 Rb8 16. Rab1 Qa5 17. f4 Nd7 18. f5 Qb4 (hitting the c4 pawn) 19. b3?? Qxc3!! 20. Qf2 Rf8 21. g4 Nc2

Ke4 axb3 41. axb3 Nf2+ (here I wanted to get my knight back into the game) 42. Kxe5 Rxb3?? (This mistake costs me the game.) 43. Rf6+ Ke7 44. Rxf2 Re3+ 45. Kd5 Rd3+
46. Kc5 Re3 47. Kd4 Re6 (Ahhhhaaaaaaa...Now we have it, I am trying to set up the critical Phillador position) 48. Rf4 Kd7 49. Kd5 Rd6+ 50. Kc5 Rc6+ 51. Kb5 Re6 52.
Rg4 Kc7 53. c5 Kb7 54. Rf4 Re1 55. Rf7+ Kc8 56. Kb6 Rb1+ 57. Kc6 Kd8 58. Rd7+
Ke8 59. Kc7 Ra1 60. c6 Rh1 61. Rd4 Rb1 62. Re4+ Kf7 63. Kd6 (and here I resigned because I realized after Rd1+ Kc5 Rc1+ Rc5 and white easily wins this ending!)
@ allen - Your lack of confidence in the opening is unfounded. The opening was solid. Your tactics are what killed you in this one.
