This game was far from perfect, but eons better than my last post (see Feedback?). I just tried to support my pieces and keep from needlessly losing them. And get used to the interface -- I started using the analysis board during this game and am getting better at seeing the computer pieces as real pieces.

Plenty of mistakes to go around, any suggestions for better opening moves or more reliable strategy or just advice on  what would usually happen and how my moves would fall apart would be helpful.

I think Ng4, while it worked out well for you, wasn't the priority move. I think exchanging, then playing ...c6 and ...d5 is good for Black since it opens the center with White uncastled.

11...cxd5 is simpler than ...b5, and probably better.

Also, instead of 12...Qg5+, why not take a piece first. You can always check later, and it may be more effective.

Black can't come back. After his best move Kd2 there is Nxa1, and White is down material with threats against his king, and a hanging knight.

I think the best advice for you from this game is to play better opponents. Your opponent allowed you to simply take his pieces from him witout much resistance.

Why not 4bc6?

And no, White can hang in for a few moves, but Black has such a great material advantage that is impossible for him to win.
