Quiet moves

Hey, I've been studying chess via Josh Waitzin's Chessmaster.  I'm learning a lot about positioning and piece development, making the quiet moves until you see an opening to attack.  Here's one of my better games, I think (at least it felt good while playing it!)  Any improvements, suggestions, are happily encouraged.

White could have forced a draw, after 50.Qe8+ Kh7 51.Qh4+ Kg8 etc. However, it was missed, and so I say- Good game!

How about 33... Qg1#. Seems to wrap up the game with much less risk! Wink

Good game. Your opponent could have tried for perpetual check though by playing 50. Qe8+.

I had Bh3 to stop perpetual.  I missed that mate though

I was expecting 33.Qg1#, but this also works. :]

Still kicking himself for missing that mate 10.5 years later.
