This is a game that a have played in a Team match, and typical example why we have to know patterns. I'll share my thougts during the game.

Excellent attack:)

I agree that pattern recognition is extremely important for all chess players to work on.

Thats why I enjoy Tactics Trainer so much.

Yeah, that Bxh7 is something that often comes up in French, and Nimzo too. Well spotted

Yes, and I hoped him to play ...8. Nd5, but he could has played ...8. Ng4 instead. Than I would countinue 9. Ng5 atacking h7 and his Knight with my Queen

You expressed surprise at 9. Qe4, why? Qe4 puts the king under pressure and forces ...9. g6, which allows you to bring your black-square bishop in. It seems an equally good move. You won the game, and tend to beat me, I'm curious as to why 9. Bxh7 was a better move

Because B:h7 exposes his King under attack of all my pieces and there is no time for his pieces to help him. The moment he took that bishop i knew it was over. Qe4 is weaker he  might play f5 not only g6 and there would be time for his pieces to take part in deffence
