scid vs pc help

hello. I just downloaded scid vs pc this week and I need help saving a chessdatabase. There doesnt seem to be a option to add a chessdatabase and everytime I open a base with many games in it, It does not save, so everytime I open scid vs pc again, my pgn game are not there. I just would like to have all my games in one place and saved so I can open scid vs pc and see all my games there. thank you for any help.
