I'm fairly new here. Could somebody tell me how to post a game?
click on the chessboard in the comment box and follow the instructions!!!

In this game, my opponent did slight mistakes here and there, but no great ones, I had to make do! I had to be patient, work for it, work hard, and step by step, break the enemy kings defenses, watch beautiful tactics, on how to break standard O-O positions. I hope you enjoy it!

A nice game, RetiFan. Learning experience for me since I'm practicing d4 nowadays. Ripping apart the castle is always my favorite part and you did it very nicely.

As you can see from my rating, I'm still quite a novice, but I'm pretty proud of this recent victory. My opponent resigned after 33. Rxe7+.
I see what you did there when you did not give up when you lost your bishop. You took the enemy pawn, you took what you could and fought on, that's the spirit!

a good game need not necessarily ba your win it may also mean to save a lost game. This is one example of that

The main objective behind posting this forum is the one which is the best way to improve your game; i.e by analyzing your own games.
most of the players have analyzed and annoted their own games and will remember their analysis of why they won and what did they miss and be able to point out opponent's bad moves, subconciously throughout their life!
This is a proven method of improving your game and was followed by almost all the grandmasters.
This revolutionary technique first used by the great Alekhine himself, is the matter of many chess books which inspired me to start this forum.

Damn, a hard one for me. I have never saved my best games because I didn't think it was important. I'm sure that I'll figure out something nice

This is actually a very poor game from both sides, but it's short and it has a lot of nice tactics in the analysis. I trimmed down my annotations a lot after I analyzed this with Fritz. A normal game would take me forever to annotate. :P

The ol' 6.Qb3 trick in the opening, super effective (at losing )
4...Bf5 has often been considered dubious in the past because of 6.Qb3, but the new move 6...Nc6! is questioning this assessment. Even Avrukh is recommending it in his new book on the Slav. I'm not sure if I completely believe in it, but it is very difficult for White to find a path to an advantage and Black has excellent practical compensation.

+1. We are amateure and terrible players if we start analyses our moves with engines lol. But still we can keep on posting our games. Small request to all let us discuss games without taking engine help. Would like to know what exactly plan/thought for every move.
It is fun to see others game,
especially when they are demonstrating a tactic, or a positional win....
