You mean I may have breathed or something? If the admins here were any good, staples would he history here, since he accused me of "profanity-laced comments" or some such rubbish. That's a far cry from "something" and it tells us that he's mentally ill, because only a mentally ill person would think he could make such comments and get away with it.

Kasparov was probably paid very well for that "adjustment". Since they made continual adjustments to the program during the game, how could that be fair? Were Kasparov and many others lying?

Well, I still think the Alapin is Viable, plus, he is 1400, you are 2000, really isn't a fair fight

Do you think that's really a good point? Our game was supposed to be a training game .... for both of us, because I never put so much thought into an Alapin before and I worked out some principles to govern the way black plays. You and I both think the Alapin is viable. He thinks, or pretends to think, that it's a forced win. He put up a decent enough show and then he stopped moving, took vacations all the time. Vacation abuse. Also the fact that he blocked me from his thread and proceeded to tell the sort of lies that could have got him thrown out If I'd complained.

Typical Alapin game. White had some decent attacking chances, but  a couple of inaccurate moves and he lost the initiative, but the claim that Black would win 90% from the ending position seems ludicrous, Black's advantage is quite small and there are many moves left to play. 19.Qf4 looks a little odd to me. Why not just 19.Qd3 and the struggle continues

  • Who really cares what results staples13 gets with the Alapin in blitz games on chess.com. The Alapin has been tested hundreds of times by top grandmasters playing both sides. The verdict is clear. The Alapin is . . .all right. Everyone knows this. Claiming that the Alapin means death to the Sicilian is either low-grade trolling, or just stupid. And I say this as someone who uses the Alapin as my chief weapon against the Sicilian! I like it, but I'm not deluded
