Stockfish said my knight sacrifice was a mistake when I had the perfect setup for a scholar mate lol.

If black had played Nf6, you would have been in a losing position. That move would block your queen's view of f7, defended by black's queen on d8. Black's pawn is also dangerously close to your king.

140 ELO would fall for that, but a 1000 ELO probably wouldn't. Still, Brilliant!

A knight sacrifice such as this would leave Magnus himself no choice but to resign.

At this elo you're right it was a nice find! But the simple Nf6 would have led to black being completely winning, but you got the right spirit to play for mate
