Strange and wierd position

Line you played is similar to the Evans Gambit. the Evans gambit goes
1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.b4
the big difference being blacks king side knight is already developed and you e pawn is unprotected. But line you played is playable, gives black a small edge.
Black should have played 6... Be7 so he doesn't have to move his bishop again after d4.
8. d5 wasn't your best choice, you should have defended you e pawn with Nbd2, Qc2, Re1 or Qe2.
9. Qa5 wasn't bad but not that good either. black should have traded his knight for you bishop.
after 9...b6 I would play 10.Bd3 to avoid the exchange.
Black should have taking your light squared bishop after 10. Bg5
You are really focusing on attacking blacks e pawn, but yours is under attack and unprotected.
12... Nxe4 is really good for black
14... c6 15.dxc6 dxc6 is also good for black
after 18.Rxb5 black has a winning advantage
18...Bc6 pins your rook to you queen and you fall even farther behind in material
26.Ne4? Bxe4
27. Nxf6 don't just trade away a knight for a pawn.
28....Na5 breaks the pin
29. Qxb5 is better
34. Qxe4 just take the knight
This is a game you should have lost, black was ahead until he dropped his queen, black could have played much stronger moves.

Just a few points:
I wonder if you realize you should have been worried about ...Nxc4 in the opening. This would have given black a great position, with white having no compensation for the lost pawn. Anyway, that didn't happen
10...h6 is actually a good move by black. holds many options in reserve for later... Just a useful move... Your plan of rerouting the bishop to g3 takes too long anyway, and is not working immeidately anyway.
12...Nxe4 would have been awful for white. You were lucky. Don't leave undefended pieces/pawns like that.
Note your comment after ...c6: Rab1: "Playing in my favor again" huh?
lets observe the consequences of the sequence:
17...cxb5 18.Rxb5. Now You're attacking the e5 pawn multiple times, and I'm even willing to ignore the fact that black can play the 18...Bc6 skewer, or defend the pawn sufficiently with 18...Nd7, and focus on the logic of the plan:
Always ask yourself: what do you gain AND what does it cost you. Your entire plan is an attack on a pawn, this is a good, logical plan.
What did this plan cost you? The b5 bishop. A whole piece. Which is worth more? of course the piece. So your entire plan gave more than it gained. By not paying attention to costs you've helped your opponent reach a winning position (yes it should already be lost for you at this point), despite the fact that you fulfilled your plans.
20...Qc5?? a blunder. Almost any sane move would keep black's position completely won. Here the game changes course and there's nothing more to say on it. White was totally lost before this. Now he's winning.
As for the opening, it's not the evans, and the fact that black's kingside is already developed makes a lot of difference, but it still looks interesting. Black cannot hold anything more than a small advantage in my opinion. It's complicated anyway.
I think 8 de would've been quite strong. On 8... Nxe5 9 Nxe5 Bxe5 10 f4 Bd6 11 e5 Bc5+ 12 Kh1 d5 (the usual response to such a situation--but here I don't think it quite works) 13 ef dc 14 Qe2+ Kd7 (14... Be6 15 f5; 14... Kf8 15 fg+ Kxg7 16 Qe5+) 15 Qxc4 Bd6 16 Qxf7+ followed by 17 fg.
If Black tries 8... Bxe5 instead I think 9 Ng5 is good--after 9... O-O you play the f4-e5 thing again.
Interesting.8...Bxe5 seems by far the strongest of the two options, since the first one seems like a nightmare for black (to me, at least), but after 9.Ng5 0-0 10.f4 Bd6 is possible, and isn't the slight weakening of the dark squares around white's king enough to make the game double edged? I prefer white here, and it looks as if it was indeed white's best chance, but I think the position is still very complicated and double edged

Good, yes... but still seems perfectly playable for black.

If "playable" is a synonym for "lousy," then I suppose I'd have to agree with you. Still, that is by far the shortest response I've ever seen you give--so I suppose I should count myself fortunate for small mercies.
Heh yes, I do have a tendency to pour out all my thoughts on a position in a single message...
In any case, to be more specific, when I say it's perfectly playabe, it means that even though it is inferior, I would not be really worried if I had to defend it as black. I'd prefer a more active position, but I think it's not that hard to defend this one to a draw.
