this is the simple example of tactics and strategy...i never thought that i would win this game...i just continue attacking him until he gave up...

13 Qf3? traps the N. 17...f6? seems unnecessary. 22...Bb4?? i would play 22...Ndf8, and start my K on a journey to c8 or b8.

I can see a loss of all material, and black is three pawns down. Qg8+ Nf8 Bxf8 Nxf8 (else it's bishpop out of the way, mate) Qxf8+ Kd7 Qf7+ Kc/d6 Qxc7 Kxc7.

I don't understand either why the opponent gave up here.  Seems like some of White's attack is not so sound and that at times he's just losing material for not great reasons.  White's plan during the game was not so clear to me.

If it's Ngf8, it's still Bxf8. Black has to move the king or take the bishop, otherwise Bb4 Kd7. On reflection,  Qxg7+ is even stronger than Qf7+ because it leads to Qxg6. Now white has 4 pawns up and is ahead in material.

Another variation is after Bxf8, Qxc2. White can still play Bb4+, black king go to 7th rank, Qxg7+. That's as far as I can take it...

I wonder why nightdweller didn't just go for the kill?

He resigned because he knew he would lose to many pieces and his position wasnt good enough to fight back effectivly so even should he have kept going he still would have lost im sure he figured that out and didnt want to waist any time or energy on the loss just go to the next game and play...Cool

Just some variations. Not all obviously, but enough I think to resign. Check the movelist.
