I never get tired of that game. I would also like to submit Rubinstein's Immortal Game for consideration. It is so beautiful!!

Edward Laskers game?
Well, the problem is that I cannot remeber the names of the players, Inmortalgamer.. please go and see the forum, and if you know the players please.. HELP!!
ps.
The Name of The Forum is
--- A King Hunt and a Queen Sacrife
While anderssen's game is pretty it's clearly not the best ever played since it was so onesided, a good game requieres both sides playing well.
Gonnosuke's examples are much better.
Lasker-Thomas, what a game! To be mated in 18 moves, at the other end of the board, in your opponents territory. Wow.
He must have liked kd2 more, mating by a discovered attack from a king.
Probably the same reason he chose the longer mate and not the shorter one with 16.Kf1 which looks a lot less fancy.
Edward Lasker vs. George Alan Thomas, lol , I enjoyed the game.......blacks king was in really hurry, what a blunder n then what a harassment .......aaaaaahahaha !!!!! it was really funny 2 c blacks king was in whits king position.....aaaaaahahahah!!!! man I can stop laughing.......mmmmuuhahahaha !!!!!!
I love this thread. Maybe someone can figure out what game I am thinking of by my horrible description(I BELIEVE it was botvinik that played it) where the combination starts with a queen and 2 or 3 rooks hanging(NONE of which can be taken because of a forced mate). There is a knight on the kingside that assists the mating attack
To me this is the best game ever played, it is called the Evergreen Game, and I was looking for it in the date base oh chess.com and I did not find it, I don't understand why a game like this, with a chess game with high quality does not appear in this page.
The porpouse of the forum is simple, just admire the beauty of this game, and appreciate the really most important thing in chess (to me), the combination of the pieces, it doesn't matter if you have two queens, or you are up in material, the most important is if you have a plan or an invencible strategy, that is the most important, not to havea lot of pieces doing anything..
So here a leave, the Evergreen Game... enjoy it
