Marco is not a bad player, just be careful when you play. He played 'A boring ECO' and carefully played me, we got to a completely drawn endgame (I won anyways). The only reason he is <1000 is because he does not always play that strong, maybe it will be more consistant soon

Sorry, it was not elegant chess. it looks like the stuff I played as a beginner, where I made a lot of pawn moves with no plan. I've played against people who find openings "boring" and don't want to learn any, and they end up playing stuff like this.

Once I learn how to post games, I might show a checkmate I managed in fourteen moves.
I just can't comprehend how someone can be rated 800-900 in classical chess.

No, it is in blitz and only in chess.com. And I have posting in this thread only blitz 5 minutes games, except that one against Petrike (that one was 3 days move).
I sometimes play in CHESS24 . COM and there my rating in blitz 5 0 is pretty better. I do not know why, but I think the users in chess.com are a bit better:

No, it was against someone else.
Your rating is high there because they have a starting rating of 1800 rather than 1200, which 1200 is the norm. Therefore you are overrated 600 points, which could convert to about 829 on that site, which would actually be lower than here.

However, my statistics in chess24 .com is much better than here in chess.com. I think the players here are more chess addicts than over there.
