The Question is: Why not 100

Hello!

Had a short, but nice game with the Fried Liver Attack! My opponent made the plunder 7. ... Qg8 and the game was soon over. Then, I was shure, that I will reach for the very first time 100%. But when I had a look at the game analysis, I only reached 99,6%. But why? I had 7 book moves and three best moves and the game was over. The only explanation I have so far is, that it needs at least one brilliant move, to get 100%. Or does someone hava another Idea?

Here is the game:

Books contain some suspicious moves

Which books contain which suspicious moves????

So you will keep striving for 100%.

100% does seem difficult to obtain. This game gets 99.6%, and I can't see any improvements. Might be some multi-PV averaging going on?

Okay I think the maximum now is changed to 99.68%

Ah, yes. I should have played Nc3 first. First the knights, then the bishops...

"Book" doesn't mean anything by itself. It's quite possible that a dubious or experimental line is shown in a book and that has been misinterpreted by the programmer.

On this subject, yesterday or the day before I played a game and my opponent made a dubious move. 1. d4 ...d5 2. c4 ...dc 3 3. Nf3 ...,Nc6. Although I think I played the continuation well enough, the analysis computer's assessments after each subsequent move were extremely inconsistent with each other. There's definitely a glitch in there .... faulty programming. https://www.chess.com/live/game/4121029829

Yes sure. Ask someone to play for scholar mate in unrated game. Check whether the system give you 100%!!

I think 100% is impossible to have without cheating, unless it is a very short game. You have to play the very best move every single move.

I did!

In chess-especially in the openings there are often several optimum moves for each position and all lead to a draw with best play by both sides.

I tried, gives me 0.0 and 0.0 (for some reason the Fool's mate is a book opening)
