Here I had a very strange game that I won.  it contained many mistakes but its an odd yet interesting game to look at none the least.

It doesn't really matter here, as you were up in material and had a winning attack. Very questionable play by your opponent, complacent at best. Nice way to benefit.

I don't think so, but here they were useful, a wall to block ur opponents defence

If you win a pawn, they are good, but you must defend them from attacks.

There's a opening you must see.

A good white player shouldn't take the c5 pawn, instead should create chances on the Kingside while Black plays on the Queenside

I know, but these are the triple pawns

Trippled pawns make a block, like a rook, but they are very weak alone from rear and front side. :)

I know they're rarely a good thing.  but in this game they served some purpose.

well it depends on the position and how damaging or beneficial they can be

This is a simple exemple, but double or triple pawns ussualy means pawns down in the endgame.

While I don't think the tripled pawns is necessarily a good thing, its just something that cannot be taken advantage of in this particular game where your up lots of material and constantly making threats to your opponent's king.

Only doubled pawns, but an interesting example of the disadvantage of doubled pawns from another thread.

Two strong players have got themselves into a two knights v doubled pawn endgame in bullet (not an ideal format for that).

If you remove either of Black's pawns from the position shown it's a theoretical draw,

With the doubled pawns it's a White win if the 50 move rule is ignored (though I had to look up the solution even with time to think about it).
