That QGD Chigorin line works even better if you can persuade your opponent to capture on c4, rather than you taking on d5.
Trying to improve

I have no skills to comment on your annotation, but I can comment on your comment 'there might be a few mistakes'. hmm, I bet there will be many mistakes. Alekhine made mistakes in his annotations, everybody makes mistakes in their annotations. That's why the advice is to annotate your games 'and then show the annotation to a much stronger player', so they can go over your annotation. good luck. I hope you continue this. I have just annotated my first real annotation tonight.
So I recently got back into chess after not playing much for around a year. I haven't really seen an improvement through my games, though. So I decided I'm gonna start posting my games with annotations here. One of the things I've noticed about my games is that I'm able to build up a solid advantage in the opening and even middle game but at a certain point I don't know how to continue and end up making either a mistake or even blunder which costs me the game. This game is one that I've already played 2 days ago but in the future I plan on writing down my thoughts during the game so I can put those in the annotations and people can help based off of my in game thoughts. Thank you.
BTW this is my first time annotating a game so there might be a few mistakes.
