Should've got crushed after 20.Bxa6!.
Ra6 is apparently winning.
Why are you acting like 3... Bb4+ is such a deadly move?
It's pointless. Just move your pawn and he has wasted a move doing nothing.

Yereslov, 4. c3 is advantegous in less of a way of disadvantegeous.
Pros: Wins tempo by making the bishop retreat (1 tempo)
Cons: Nc3 is nice
4. Bd2 is acceptable, too. :)
Thanks, eaglejorge for submitting ur game
Educational. I'm going to have to play Bc5 against the Italian. Nf6 gets me into trouble fast.
In a lot of my games, there are pawn storms against opposite castles. Knowing how to launch them and how to stop slow them is important.
What problem do you have with Nf6? I've recently taken the 2 Knights defense as my response to the Italian, and I haven't found any problem.
Ng5 can get you into trouble
Play d5 exd5 NA5 or Nxd5 Nxf7 (Fried liver attack)

Are you serious? There is nothing wrong 4.c3.
Develop your knight with Nd2 later on.
Honestly, stop giving the bishop move credit.

Ng5 does not scare me at all. I've got an ace upon my sleeve (4...Bc5 normally gets the Fried Liver / Lolli players out of book and makes begginers think you overlooked the fork on f7. Anyways, against a white player who knows his lines, I find it difficult to win).
Regarding the Bc4 and Ng5 ideas in the italian. I have taught this for years and here are my thoughts
I am assuming you meant 2. e5 its not.bad it is ?! which is dubious. it limits whites options.
I meant d5.
Here is one of my best games on this site:
Apparently my combination at the end is easy to refute.
I still get a winning game no matter what. I just wouldn't want to play the more complicated position after 30. Kd1 fxg1+ 31. Nxg1 Be3 32. c5+ Kf8.
Oh, wait, never mind. I'm way ahead!
Been away from this thread for a while. This is a recent game against a friend.
Why didn't you play 14...f4?

OK put things in context where did i say d5 was a bad move?

It was in your descriptions on the game.
"active move so cannt complain and makes black think about 0-0 and targets d6 , maybe provokes ....d5 which is a bad move strategicallly for black"
How in the world is d5 a bad move?
