Hello I'm going through a experimental phase with trying out different openings even some I know that are unsound and I plan to do this till I break 1500 in OTB so I wanted to know what's fun to play and please don't hide some unsound stuff from me either to protect my result'sWink ever since I started doing this (when I reached 1300 wish I started earlier) My  results have been below average lately but I don't mind as much at all cause the game's I've played have been very funSmile. Some openings that I've played so far are the Scoth Gambit, Polish opening,Bird Opening,Scandinavian Defense, and the Caro-Kann. So come throw em at me Unsound, Unusal, Gambits, System's Open or Closed give me a opeing or variation of a opening to play PLZZZZZ.Smile

To be honest, it would be more useful if you could pick 1 opening for white and 1 or 2 openings against 1.e4 and 1.d4. However, while trying new openings, especially online, I would recommend trying whatever you want and analyze it after. For example, try the Danish Gambit as White or the Benko Gambit as black.

The Gedult attack 1.d4/d5 2.f3/Nf6 3.g4 I use to play it quite a bit.

Im with the teachers (pretty much any half decent one) who say that learning pawn structure and positional chess is far more important than "learning openings". Without that, "learning openings" does little good.

Also. Wrong forum.
