When I click "Save Analysis" where is it saved to?

How do I go back to see the saved analysis later? I can't find it anywhere in the menus.

I do not see any analysis in the PGN after I click "Save Analysis". I've done it for lots of games, and cannot find the saved analysis for any of them.

My question exactly.  Where??  As what??

As a .pgn file in your default download location.  In windows it's usually the download folder you see when you open windows explorer (not internet explorer, windows explorer) on the left side as a favorite. you can open it, but you'll need a chess viewer to see it.  I miss the old chess.com where it would save it on the web site and you could open it up and review it online.

Yeah, I think its saved to YOUR computer and not the site.  To be sure,  re-post your question in the "Help & Support" forum.

Just go to your game archive and click on the game you want.. All the annotations should be there..

What I have to do is bring the game up from the Archive.

Click on the Game Details tab (rather than the Move List default tab).

Then click on Computer Analysis at the bottom of that window - after a couple of seconds it brings up the saved analysis.

Ok, thanks! You just click on the computer analysis button in the archived game, and if there's saved analysis, it pops up.  There's no indication in the archive that a game has saved analysis, until you click on that button.

BTW, saved analysis is definitely not downloaded to your local computer. That's the download PGN button, as someone pointed out.

Under game archives you should be able to find it.

Thanks!  I wondered the same question.

Thanks pawnisland for the information.  I tested and confirmed that it works.  It would be beneficial if in the archive list there was some indication that the game has a saved analysis.  Thanks again.

Pawn_Checkmate

printscharming when you click on a game in the archive, the analysis button has a red mark if the analysis was saved..

Thanks same question, didn't get answer from the help question I submitted.

I found that you can select the text in the analysis window, copy it, and paste it into a Word document and then print it from there.  Clumsy, but it works.

Lol 😃 I thought I was the only one. I seldom "save" games this way anymore though. I make it a habit to check the analysis after the game, but I rarely save the games; the games I save are significant to me, and deserve to be saved. Maybe great play prompts me to save a game, but usually I only save if I saw something interesting that is instructional (perhaps it might be a neat tactical idea from my opponent that I missed, or maybe a checkmating pattern I had never seen etc.)

If I save a game, I would need some reason to believe that checking the game in the future would benefit my play.

Is there any update on this? I feel like there should be an indication or sign on the games in your archive which you have annotated. This would be a useful function. Or maybe make if possible to filter just those games using the 'advanced search' feature in the archive segment

DoctorMorbius

What about saving analysis of a position that is not a game? Where can you find that after you have saved it?

Elzis

Where is the engine pause button in the new game analysis layout? How can i disable engine analysis?
