A 1900 USCF player accidentally resigned against me in an online uscf tourney because they wanted to offer a draw but clicked the resign button.

Just enable confirm resign it’s not hard

I did that once, but I did not mouse slip, I was just stupid and had brain fog or something. I put confirm resign on so that does not happen again.

I've resigned games when I wanted to abort when someone called me to do something, only happened twice though. Funny that I never abort but when I do I resign instead. That's a sad one for you but you still had to convert that one, he had a lot of compensation for the piece.

One day I was losing and was in a very bad position by my opponent resigned my mistake in a 3 mins blitz game and more importantly he was rated more than 50 rating points.

I put it on after i did that.

Yeah you made the same rookie mistake I did. If we had played one more move in our games, it would have automatically been a draw.
