So in a few games people are being extremely rude and force me into resining, because I’m not-so good yet (I’m a newbie) but that doesn’t mean they should treat me so badly. What do I do?

"...people are being extremely rude..."

Welcome to the internet.  When you allow people to be anonymous, this type of stuff happens.  Disable chat, and report them.

"...and force me into resigning..."

No one can force you to resign.  You decided to resign.  That was a choice you made.

"I’m not-so good yet (I’m a newbie) but that doesn’t mean they should treat me so badly. What do I do?"

What do you do as far as improving?  Play slower time controls.  If youre playing time controls that dont allow you to think, how do you expect to improve?

What do you do as far as people being rude?  Disable chat.

once you have given way free material you are no longer playing chess so resign the damn game

I have won all of my games so far and often go material down in the middle or early game.

i dont care

It wasn't for you,  just so readers know that going down material "For free" isn't a reason to resign and they shouldn't feel pressured into doing so,  thanks (:

yes giving away material is a reason to resign. if you were a better player you would know it.

I'm assuming you mean they harass you when they think they have a winning position. Just ignore those people. To varying degrees people find it offensive when you don't resign against them. It's the worst with people like darwinisright who know just enough about chess to know they should control the center. GMs resign because they know how good their opponents are. 1100s want to be afforded the same respect even though a C player would beat them 9 out of 10 with queen odds.

One thing I noticed as I climbed permanently above about 1250 is people are much less rude.  I used to be accused of using an engine every second win, but now it almost never happens.  You'd get gloating all the time and now it's rare.  So...it's just immature people and realize...it's mostly bad players that do it.  Meanwhile, just disable chat.

Just dont bother about it and play...............oooooooooohahahahhaagrin.png

SubSahara

It is easy to say ignore them when it general taunting and mild irritation - but when it

SubSahara

gets racist - it becomes a different ball game!

The dislikes on that video are almost as high as the likes. The chess community has a problem with racism and fascism, unfortunately.

awesomejew420

as a jew, I have known fascism throughout my life, and let me say that chess is the biggest proprietor of it
